The Disguise Commercialism Wears

Throughout our years on earth humans have always invented things. Some inventions bettered our communication, our mobility and even our health. But are all inventions really that healthy for you?

Well, the obvious answer is no. Many inventions have worsened our health incredibly. Today, I'm writing about commercialism and the disguise it wears. The people who work in commercialism are specified in making products look as appealing as possible just for the sake of money. However, what the label reads may not even be close to the truth.

Especially in the food industry commercialism is the key to succes. When you read things on a product's packaging like 'super healthy' or 'this product contains no sugar' it's most likely just a way to get customers to buy that certain product. Sadly the unhealthy ingredients, that aren't mentioned on the packaging, could harm people very badly. Many obese people have fallen in the trap of commercialism. When everything is presented so attractively it becomes incredibly difficult not to give into your desires. However, not everyone shares my opinion on this topic. The people working in this sector have to make money for a living. And if a good strategy helps, the wealthier they will be able to live.

By writing this post I hope to have opened your eyes to what commercialism really holds in. In my opinion, presenting products well is a great thing. However, when people go as far as to put lies on the label and edit photos so much that the product on the packaging looks nearly unrecogniseable from what's inside of it. The colourful box with prominent lettering may look appetising, but as to whether it's good for you is a different question...
